Emotional awareness

Emotional awareness & self-understanding

Put words to what you feel and explore the needs, patterns and choices behind your everyday experience.

When this might feel relevant

You notice that you are upset, unsettled or unusually quiet, but the reason is not clear yet. Or you recognise a familiar reaction and want to understand it before responding in the same way again.

Coaching can offer a place to separate what happened, what you made it mean and what you might need. A feeling does not have to be judged or fixed immediately to be worth listening to.

What we can explore

  • Develop a more specific vocabulary for everyday emotions.
  • Notice situations, expectations and needs that influence your response.
  • Recognise the difference between an observation and an interpretation.
  • Choose a response that reflects your priorities.

A small place to begin

Think of one recent moment. What happened? What did you notice? What meaning did you give it? What would you like to understand?

What working together could involve

We begin with your situation and agree on a useful focus. A session may include reflection, a practical exercise or preparation for a real-life moment. You decide which step to try, and we review what you notice. Format, duration, fees and availability are discussed before booking.

Coaching supports personal growth and everyday choices. It does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions. The first conversation should help establish whether this focus fits your needs and the coach’s scope.
